The people now living on our planet will determine by our action or inaction the future of God’s good creation and every living thing on it. Until recently, there has been no national limit on the amount of carbon pollution that power plants can dump into our air. In Indiana, we’re already feeling the effects of climate disruption; and we can expect even more heat waves, more extreme storms, and poorer air and water quality in the decades ahead — posing serious threats to our health, our livelihoods, and our communities. I believe God shares the anguish.
