Melissa Widhalm, Operations Manager from the Purdue Climate Change Research Center (PCCRC). She will discuss observed trends and predicted changes in several key climate and water variables based on new local analysis conducted for the Indiana Climate Change Impacts Assessment (IN CCIA). She will explain how shifting climate patterns translate to tangible changes in our daily lives in the Kokomo, area.

This research is critical because climate shapes our lives. The ways we build our roads, manage our farms, move our water, and use energy are all influenced by our unique Indiana climate. Our climate has been changing, and is expected to continue changing in ways that will affect our productivity, our safety, and our livelihoods. We need to know what climate change means for Indiana.

The meeting will take place at Christ Lutheran Church at 3401 S. Dixon Rd. at 7 pm.  Fellowship and snacks may be enjoyed at 6:45 pm.

We welcome people from all faith communities as well as interested individuals. Our goal is to explore ways to be better stewards of the Earth.
