This year has been a critical year in caring for God’s creation.
Faith leaders across the globe and in Indiana are proclaiming that the time is now to act for clean air, a stable climate, and a more sustainable economy.
Pope Francis issued a a moral call for action on the Earth’s warming climate. Just in the last few weeks, people of faith came together for the first widely held World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. Jewish and Muslim leaders are also demanding action to preserve and protect God’s creation.
In Indianapolis, faith leaders helped lead a successful campaign to stop burning coal in Marion County last year and they had a major victory at the statehouse to save Indiana’s growing rooftop solar industry.
Congregations across the area are learning more about creation care theology, how to save money through energy efficiency efforts, and how to be an advocate for the planet’s well being.
Join us for this breakfast (or lunch the next day) to learn more about Indy's creation care movement.
