Renewable Energy Developments of Indiana

Chad Martin, the Renewable Energy Extension Specialist in Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Purdue University, will give a presentation titled Renewable Energy Developments of Indiana at the Kokomo Care for Creation meeting October 13. 

At Purdue Mr. Martin develops, coordinates and provides programs within the College of Agriculture to build capacity statewide for renewable energy education. He focuses his Extension efforts in areas of on-farm energy efficiency, biomass energy resources and wind energy. Solar energy opportunities for Indiana are under development. He works with producers, small businesses, Purdue faculty, Extension educators, and state and federal government agencies to deliver programs. He is a member of the Indiana Wind Working Group, and along with Purdue faculty, has initiated the Indiana Biomass Energy Working Group.

Mr. Martin will explain these various programs.  There will be an open forum for questions after the presentation.

Care for Creation is an affiliate of Hoosier Interfaith Power & Light. We  welcome  members of all faith communities as well individuals interested in learning how to better use our resources so we can be  better stewards of the Earth.  Refreshments and fellowship will be available starting at 6:45.
