Do you feel overwhelmed by the number of things that need to be done around your house to save energy? Confused about what to do first? Uncertain how to go about these tasks? Discouraged about what it might cost? The Task of the Month Program was developed with these concerns in mind. Instead of trying to do everything at once, Task of the Month encourages people to focus on one particular thing at a time. If you are participating as part of a congregation committed to this program, then you have a community of people around you working on the same task. Ask for help! Or offer it, if you are able.
How It Works
Each month, there is one task for participants to complete. Participants may subscribe to the monthly newsletters, full of information and tips for carrying out each task. Congregational leaders who will be leading the Task of the Month program may also subscribe to a monthly planning email. These newsletters contain information for each task, explaining how and why, and where to get more information. Congregations may keep track of who is participating, and organize raffles, information events, work parties, or other activities that help members get the jobs done.
