Hoosier Interfaith Power and Light works with faith communities in three related ways:
Education: providing workshops, speakers, retreats, and other tools, programs, and resources promoting wise care for creation as a faithful way of life for the sake of the vulnerable today and future generations.
Using Energy Prudently: offering practical programs, tools, and measures to reduce fossil fuel consumption through both energy conservation and renewable energy. We have programs for conserving and monitoring energy in homes and congregations, and we seek funding to help congregations obtain solar panels.
Public Policy: organizing to advocate with state and local governments, utilities, and other powers for environmentally sustainable policies and actions.
